
APEC Japan 2010 in Yokohama
Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is an economic forum promoting the liberalization and facilitation of trade and investments, economic and technical cooperation, and related issues. It strives for voluntary cooperative activity between its 21 member economies, based on the principles of sustainable growth in the Asia-Pacific region and contributing to world economic growth. APEC is the world’s largest regional cooperative, in a region which accounts for approximately 40% of the world’s population and nearly half of world GDP.

Australia; Brunei Darussalam; Canada; Chile; People's Republic of China; Hong Kong, China; Indonesia; Japan; Republic of Korea; Malaysia; Mexico; New Zealand; Papua New Guinea; Peru; Republic of the Philippines; The Russian Federation; Singapore; Chinese Taipei; Thailand; The United States; Viet Nam
Over the eight-day period from November 7 to 14, around 8,000 people will visit Yokohama in conjunction with the APEC meetings, including APEC member leaders and ministers. In addition to the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting and APEC Ministerial Meeting, there will also be other assemblies held, including one for the private committee of business leaders comprising the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC).
